Lake Superior State Athletics has named Marketing & Ticketing Coordinator, Hunter Perry, as the department’s new Senior Women Administrator.

A standard set forth by the NCAA for membership institutions in 1981, the senior women administrator is the highest-ranking female in each NCAA athletics department or conference office. The purpose of the SWA designation is to promote meaningful representation of women in the leadership and management of college sports.

As part of her expanded role as SWA, Perry will help execute several key athletics projects such as the LSSU Women’s Walk and “Stand Up Campaign” while also coordinating community partnership events with the Diane Peppler Resource Center and the United Way of the EUP.

Perry, a Rudyard, Mich., native, joined the LSSU Athletics Staff in October 2017. She is a graduate of Northwood University where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (2016) while majoring in Sport Management with a minor in Marketing and Advertising. In May 2017, Perry completed her Master of Business Administration.

As undergrad, Perry was also a member of the Timberwolves varsity track & field program where she holds the school record Discus while earning Academic All-American honors.
