Lake State Classic Update
We are excited to announce that the 32nd Lake State Classic will take place on Friday, August 6th at Wild Bluff in Brimley, Michigan. Due to COVID-19, the 31st Lake State Classic took on a play at your pace format where teams could play any day between July 17 and August 28, 2020. It was a tremendous opportunity for LSSU and Friends to interact, while maintaining safe social distancing. While we hope to be in person this summer, if needed the Lake State Classic can pivot back to the play at your pace format starting August 6 and running through Mid-September.

Scholarships From Archery Company Bohning Set Sights On Helping Lake Superior State University Students
Archery manufacturer Bohning Company is establishing a new scholarship at Lake Superior State University. Professional and personal synergies between Bohning and LSSU were the motivation for this new scholarship. Bohning, based in Lake City, MI, recently expanded its archery and bowhunting product line to branding materials that benefit the industries of criminal justice and fire science. Both fields are signature programs at LSSU. Plus, a Bohning executive is so impressed by LSSU’s coursework for nursing, another signature program, that the administrator wanted to figure out a way to give back. As a result of such overlaps, each year, two qualified students pursuing degrees in criminal justice, fire science, or nursing at LSSU will receive a scholarship of $2,500. Recipients must also be at least sophomores and residents of Michigan. Read more.
