Half way into the Women’s ACHA DII regular season our Lady Lakers are one of the top teams in the country.
The team has a record of 13-0-1, which has secured our Lakers the #1 ranking in the central Great Lakes region. LSSU also boasts 6 players in the top 20 in points.
Leading the way as one of the top playmakers in the country is junior forward and hometown product Meghan Gerrie. Meghan is currently tied for 2nd in the nation with 32pts. While becoming one of the top players nationally she maintains her role as a leader both on and off the ice for our Lady Lakers. Meghan is one of three captains for your Lakers as she exemplifies what it truly means to be a great student athlete here at Lake State.
Freshman forward Sophie Jaremko from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario is sitting in the 6th position nationally with 24pts in 7 games.
Rounding out the top 10 in the nation for us is another freshman, Madi Pott. Madi comes to LSSU all the way from Okotoks, Alberta Canada. She currently has 21 pts as she works her way to the top of the freshman scoring race.
Standing tall for the lady Lakers in net is Junior goalie Autumn Fosmore. Autumn is a transfer from NCAA DIII Aurora University. She is currently tied for 2nd in most wins. In 7 games played, Autumn has a .90 GAA with nearly 400 minutes played, and an outstanding .952 save percentage. All those numbers have her hovering in a comfortable spot among the nations top female goaltenders.
Those are just a few of our many standouts who are a part of our Lady Lakers American Collegiate Hockey Association program. We look forward to seeing you out at the games. Go Lakers!
