The Works Of Tracy Anderson Now On Display

The Works of Tracy Anderson, an exhibit that features artwork on a variety of different mediums including scratchboard art, encaustic art, oil painting, wildlife, photography, and nature-oriented artwork is on display in Lake Superior State University’s Arts Center gallery through August 30, 2019. All works are available for purchase. A “Meet the Artist Reception” will be held on Saturday, August 24 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Arts Center Gallery. Ashmun Creek cleanup crew

Laker Volunteers Clean Up Ashmun Creek

The Freshwater Stewardship Corps gathered 26 volunteers from the community to help clean up Ashmun Creek on Saturday, July 20th. The volunteers collected 5 cubic yards of trash, primarily plastic bags and bottles, but also more interesting items like parts of an engine, an electrical box, and several items of clothing. United Way Honors LSSU

Lake Superior State University was recognized for its contributions to the local community at the United Way of the Eastern Upper Peninsula Community Builder Awards Celebration on June 6 at Tanglewood Marsh Golf Course. As one of the top workplace campaigns, LSSU was honored as part of the Merit category – bestowed upon workplaces which raised between $4,000 and $5,999 for the United Way of the EUP’s annual fundraising campaign. Lake State also earned the Community Builder Award, which is presented to organizations that work to create a sustainable and positive impact in the local community by participating in philanthropic efforts throughout the year.
