Patrick Wade ’77, retired from DRS Technology in St. Louis, MO, after 33 years of service. Before his retirement in 2014, he spent a number of years working overseas for the company. He then went on to write a novel based on how he met his wife, titled My Life with Dea: An Unexpected Love Story.
Michael Peach ’82, recently signed a book deal with Translucent Eyes Press, which will be publishing his novella titled The Death of Tintagiles Death.
James Garlitz ’99, retired from the City of Lansing Fire Department in September 2023, then returned to Sault Ste. Marie several months later in December where he accepted an instructor position in LSSU’s Fire Science Department. James is excited to be back at LSSU teaching the next generation of firefighters.

Chrystal Hurst ’98, is currently living in Florida with her husband and two children, and is now a published author writing novels for young readers. Chrystal’s first book was published in March 2024, titled Whispers of the Vineyard: Restoring the Family Legacy.
Angie Nortley ’93, attended her daughter’s graduation from LSSU in May of 2024!
Danny Kinnear ’22, was hired by the Nashville Predators as the Assistant Equipment Manager for their affiliate team, the Milwaukee Admirals.
