LSSU Hockey Alum Signs With Atlanta Gladiators
LSSU Hockey alum Louis Boudon ’23 recently signed with the Atlanta Gladiators of the ECHL for the 2025–26 season. This marks Boudon’s return to North America after playing for the Nybro Vikings in Sweden during the 2024–25 season, where he recorded 21 points in HockeyAllsvenskan, the second-highest professional league in Swedish hockey.
Originally from Grenoble, France, Boudon represented his home country in two IIHF World Junior Championships and four IIHF World Championships as a youth. He played collegiate hockey at Lake Superior State University, where he was named to the WCHA All-Rookie Team in 2020 and helped lead the Lakers to a WCHA Championship in 2021. Most recently, Boudon represented France in the 2025 IIHF World Championship.
LSSU Hockey Alum Signs With Fort Wayne Komets
LSSU Hockey Alum, Jacob "Jake" Willets '23, recently signed with minor league team Fort Wayne Komets (playing in the ECHL - East Coast Hockey League) for the 2025-26 season. Willets began last season with Maine, skating in 16 games before finishing the season in Europe. Willets has also had stops in Atlanta and Toledo during his pro career. Before becoming a professional, the 26-year-old appeared in 120 college games with Lake Superior State and Ferris State.
LSSU Hockey Alum Signs With Rapid City Rush
LSSU Hockey Alum, Jared Westcott '24, recently signed with the minor league Rapid City Rush hockey team for the 2025-26 season, a minor affiliate of the Calgary Flames NHL franchise. Before going pro, Jared started his collegiate hockey career at Penn State University for one year before transferring to Lake Superior State University for the last three years.
