Student Respondent Molly Campbell encourages her peers to embrace the future

The student respondent for the graduating class of 2019 was Molly Campbell. Miss Campbell is an Ontario native and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in biochemistry. She plans to continue her studies in medical school in the fall. While attending LSSU, she was a recipient of the Lou & Mae Lukenda Family Endowment Scholarship as well as the Timothy A. Famer Science Scholarship.

Miss Campbell gave an inspiring speech on her time at LSSU, and encouraged her peers to embrace the future. “While we don’t know for sure what the future will hold, we should be confident that we are well prepared for whatever comes our way.” Miss Campbell also made a point to thank everyone, from family and friends to faculty, that helped the graduates along their way.

“If your dreams don’t scare you, then dream a little bigger. Learn from your mistakes. Get back up when you fall down, and keep going,” Miss Campbell asserted.

: Lori Knepp ’80 visited many amazing places such as: the Blue Lagoon, Hraunfossar and Barnafossar waterfalls, hot springs, geothermal fields of Geysir, Skaftafell National Park with amazing views of glaciers and icebergs. She also visited a volcano area and walked on the black sand beach and viewed huge volcanic formations. Lori says, “the people in Iceland are very friendly and we enjoyed many different foods of the area. Definitely a ‘must see’ destination!”

: Margaret Dinkel ‘78 of Akron, Michigan submitted these photos from a recent trip to Cuba. She traveled with a group of 27 people from all over the U.S. Margaret said the people are awesome. They are friendly, accommodating and proud of their Cuban heritage. She said it was the trip of a lifetime, and she was happy to promote LSSU while there! Read more about her trip to Cuba!
