Lake Superior State University has welcomed Jordan Shawhan as its new Director of Annual Fund and Alumni Relations.<\/p>\n
Shawhan joins LSSU from Michigan Technological University, where he worked in university advancement and alumni relations to strengthen relationships with alumni, donors and friends of the University and support annual giving and alumni engagement initiatives.<\/p>\n
Prior to Michigan Tech, Shawhan served as director of marketing and communications at Finlandia University, where he led institutional messaging, enrollment marketing, public relations and fundraising communications. He began his career in client-facing business development, helping build startup insurance agencies across Michigan\u2019s Upper Peninsula and Grand Rapids, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Northern Michigan University.<\/p>\n
A native of Sault Ste. Marie, joining Lake State also marks a return home for Shawhan. He and his wife, Taylor, along with their son, Casey, will return to the Soo in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n
