All smiles were had as\u00a0we bid farewell to the Atlantic Salmon during the annual release! Approximately 28,530 fish, successfully raised by Hatchery Technician Megan Thompson and LSSU students, were stocked directly into the St. Marys River for anglers across the Great Lakes to enjoy!<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\n

Lake Superior State University Engineering & Technology faculty, staff and students attended Automate last week in Detroit. They had a great time and were visited by LSSU Trustee Jon DeRoo and Vice President of the Office of Advancement Scott Smith<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\n

Lake Superior State University teamed up with Soo Fire Department, MyMichigan Medical Center and the Chippewa County Sheriff\u2019s Department for a drill involving a car wreck with multiple injuries. LSSU\u2019s Nursing, EMS, Fire Science, Criminal Justice and Public Safety programs all participated.<\/span><\/p>\n

Officials say communication between multiple agencies is crucial in emergencies like the one they practiced for.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\n
