Based upon academic qualifications, the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), which offers the prestigious credential, presented the LSSU students with awards that waive the exam\u2019s registration and study material fees. The scholarship offers a three-year membership in the IMA as well. The club is one of dozens from throughout the Midwest that come to the St. Mary\u2019s River every August for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.michiganwalleyetour.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Michigan Walleye Tour<\/a> (MWT). The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/84856338255\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LSSU Fisheries &amp; Wildlife Club<\/a>, of which Coy and McNichol are members, contributes expertise to the tournament, which attracts hundreds of anglers to\u00a0Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. The MWT and SBWC finance the scholarship as a way of giving back to the sport. McNichol, a sophomore from Richmond, Mich., is minoring in environmental science. Coy, who is pairing her major with a minor in geographical information systems (GIS), is a senior from Petoskey, Mich. She and five other LSSU students presented research Feb 13-14 at the Michigan chapter of the American Fisheries Society\u2019s annual meeting. The students also shared senior-theses work\u00a0at the 78th Midwest Fish and Wildlife Conference held Jan. 28-31 in Milwaukee, Wis.
