This November, we want to spotlight Professor Koral Brady (Fritz), a faculty member at Lake Superior State University, for her inspiring Gratitude November Challenge.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Each business day in November, Professor Brady (Fritz) shared heartfelt gratitude for professionals who have supported students during the Fall 2024 term, encouraging others to join in. Recognizing how stress rises on campus late in the term, Professor Brady (Fritz) turned to gratitude as a way to uplift spirits.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reflecting on the experience, Professor Brady (Fritz) shared, \u201cAfter nearly a month of sharing my gratitude on LinkedIn, I've noticed how easy it has become to vocalize my gratitude to people in all parts of my life. I've said 'thank you' more from my heart, and I've watched people around me tap into their gratitude as well. This challenge was what my heart needed, and I hope it lifts your spirits to feel how supported and loved you are by your community!<\/em>\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

LSSU Brings Back the Brady Haunted Hall<\/strong><\/h3><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

This Halloween, the Laker Success Mentors, RAs, and University Activities Board teamed up to revive the Brady Haunted Hall. These students volunteered their time to create, act in, and operate the spooky event for several hours on Halloween night. The Haunted Hall featured a spooky asylum, butcher room, black-out maze, creepy doll house, cannibal den, scary clown room, haunted art gallery, jungle, graveyard, and a Coraline-themed escape tunnel.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n

Commemorating Orange Shirt Day Together<\/strong><\/h3><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

September 30th marked Orange Shirt Day.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In commemoration of this significant day, the campus community wore orange as a heartfelt tribute to the Indigenous children who attended residential schools.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

LSSU gathered in spirit of hope and reconciliation, coming together to educate ourselves, pay homage to the survivors of these schools, and unite in acknowledging this painful chapter of our shared history.<\/span><\/p>\n

Together, we pledged our unwavering commitment to reconciliation, learning and healing.<\/span><\/p>\n
