Marie, Ontario.)<\/em><\/p>\n<span  class=\"x-dropcap\" >A<\/span> total of 108 student-athletes from the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) were honored in July as Krampade All American Scholars, as announced by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA). All 17 WCHA programs are represented by outstanding players who attained a 3.6 grade-point average each semester and participated in 40 percent of their school&#8217;s games during the 2017-18 season (a small number of waivers to the participation requirement were granted due to injury or for back-up goaltenders<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;On behalf of the entire WCHA, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to these tremendous student-athletes,&#8221; said WCHA Commissioners Bill Robertson (Men&#8217;s League) and Katie Million (Women&#8217;s League) in a joint statement. &#8220;College athletics is about the total package \u2013 playing the sport you love, while setting the foundation for post-graduate success. We are honored that the young men and women who compete in the WCHA represent their schools and league in such remarkable fashion, both athletically and academically.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Added AHCA Executive Director Joe Bertagna: &#8220;We are extremely proud of this group of student-athletes who have competed at the highest levels of the game on the ice and matched that performance in the classroom. Prior to joining LSSU as the Athletic Communications Director in November, Cullen was an athletic communications assistant at Cornerstone University and spent four years as a student assistant in CMU Athletic Communications Department.
